A well structured client brief called for a very modern aesthetic, with clean lines and a paired back materials palette. A new two storey rear addition was added to the existing detached house. The first floor accommodates the kids, with a rumpus room, bathroom and three bedrooms. Large sliding doors provide flexibility of space – opening rooms to each other or closing them off.
Large open plan living rooms flow onto a pool side deck. The deck has fully automated fly screens allowing the outdoor area to be used unhindered by insects.
An existing carport, has been modified to accommodate a cabana, with an automated roof, allowing full sun, partial sun shading or be completely shut, providing protection from the rain. The cabana can still be used for off street parking.
